About New River Valley Christian Academy
Our Mission
New River Valley Christian Academy exists to provide the local homeschool community with the opportunity for student-athletes to participate in competitive sports that are grounded in Christian values and beliefs. Through a deep relationship with Christ, along with dedication and commitment to sportsmanship, we strive to equip individuals to lead with integrity, serve with purpose, and compete with humility; doing everything to the Glory of God. (1 Cor 10:31)
Our Vision
New River Valley Christian Academy desires to create a homeschool sports community where the student-athletes:
- honor God in all they do, on and off the field
- compete with the goal and focus of winning the imperishable crown
- view each team member as necessary and beneficial to the team by showing them respect and competing as a unified team.
What We Believe
We believe that Jesus Christ is the center of all we do. He is our Savior, our example, and the foundation of our identity both on and off the field. Through Him, we are called to live with purpose, love and integrity.
We believe that every athlete is uniquely created by God with value, potential, and a purpose beyond sports. Athletics are a gift and an opportunity to glorify God, grow in character, and impact others.
We believe in pursuing excellence, not for personal gain and glory, but to honor God with our effort, discipline, and commitment. We strive to compete with humility, win with grace, and lose with dignity.
We believe that character matters more than performance. Traits like perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and self-control reflect Christ and shape us into stronger individuals.
We believe in serving others, encouraging one another, and building a community rooted in faith, respect, and accountability.
We believe that true success is found not just in achievements, but in becoming who God has created and called us to be.
